The plastic is FDA approved as a food grade material. These stackable water tanks are designed for long term water storage, but water stored after 90 days, regardless of container, must be treated. It is recommended they are cross stacked no higher than 4 feet high. These HDPE water storage cubes are designed not to leak. It is recommended to make sure the gasket is properly seated in the lid, that the lid is properly tightened down, and that there are no issues when sealing. If they are stack 2 per row, the base is 18 inches by 18 inches. Each row height is 6 inches high so 5 rows to make 10 containers would be 2.5 feet high.
