Used by printers and book binders in the late 19th century this exquisitely made metal book press was manufactured in Edinburgh, Scotland by the renowned firm of Patrick Ritchie. The top plate is heavily decorated with high relief casting. Not only aesthetically beautiful but completely functional as a book press. The daylight opening measures 2.25".
